CABRERA MANUEL, María Isabel. Become Others. Sensitive Alternatives Against Violence in Literature Written by Women in Mexico. Valenciana [online]. 2024, vol.17, n.33, pp.279-307. Epub 31-Mayo-2024. ISSN 2007-2538. https://doi.org/10.15174/rv.v16i33.753.
Given the violent events that the population and in particular women suffer as a group in Mexico, this work seeks to add to the critical exercise of thinking about symbolic and factual violence, show its forms of recognition and the discursive work that supports the lives of women and vulnerable population not only from pain and anger, but also from the commitment to survival, for the strategies that would allow to escape the overwhelming weight of their forms, to become others. This work analyzes the work of writers who invite us to find in their reflections, stories, tales, and female characters not only victims, but also subjectivities that avoid, through different means, being imprisoned by concepts that only reiterate violence in their bodies and in their lives.
