Resumen

ESCAMILLA SALAZAR, Zugaide  y  CALDERA GONZALEZ, Diana del Consuelo. Analysis of the socioeconomic and psychosocial factors in nascent female and male entrepreneurs in Mexico. Investig. adm. [online]. 2013, vol.42, n.111, pp.7-19. ISSN 2448-7678.

Entrepreneurship is a topic which nowadays attracts the attention, not only for being considered as an alternative for the solution of economic problems, but also for being considered as a relevant research subject.

The goal of this paper is to analyze the socioeconomic and psychosocial factors that influence men and women who are developing an activity which leads to the launching of a business, that is, emergent entrepreneurships. This was based on the classification offered by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) and we took a sample of emergent entrepreneurships in Mexico. This analysis was made through a regression binary logistic analysis in order to detect the relationship between the factors which were considered. The most relevant results show some differences between men and women from the groups of factors.

Palabras llave : entrepreneurship; emergent entrepreneurs; background; gender.
