This article has a double objective. In the first place, a stylized retrospective of macroeconomics IS/LM is presented, locating its state of things inside the discipline, in terms of its evolution, genealogy and transformation in the dominant current of the macroeconomics. In the second place, from an algebraic perspective, the connection of first seed IS/LM with the General Theory of the Keynes (1936) is expressed, to legitimize the recurrent insinuation of the relationship with the SI/LL, model's Hicks (1937).
