The aim of this study is to analyze whether the business success could be explained from the empowerment as a management tool and a set of specific variables of each company, such as age, sector, size and level of earned income. We work with an own database that gathers information from 120 companies of the city of La Ceiba, Honduras. Based on the theoretical framework of the Theory of Resources and Capabilities, probit and ordinal probit econometric models were applied. The results are consistent and show that the empowerment is a significant variable to business success, as the variables: age, size and level of income received.
