This reflection on the work Critique of the judgment of the philoso pher Immanuel Kant, focuses his comments on concepts of visual nature applicable to disciplines such as art and graphic design. Some of his ideas are contrasted with various examples of contem porary visual culture, with the intention of explaining the author's findings by questioning some of the assertions that, although very valuable, have not been able to withstand the passage of time. Fi nally, it is evident that these ideas are not easily applicable to a dynamic and dynamic cultural context where it is impossible to clearly determine concepts such as taste or beauty.
