CAICEDO RIASCOS, Maritza. Economic Integration and Inequality: Three Generations of Mexicans in the United States. Rev. Mex. Sociol [online]. 2010, vol.72, n.2, pp.255-282. ISSN 2594-0651.
This article analyzes the salary differences between the non-Hispanic white, U.S. born and African-American populations and the first, second and third generation of Mexican population in the United States in light of the theory of human capital. It concludes that the population of Mexican origin is at a disadvantage in the labor market. This situation varies between generations and cannot solely be explained by differences in human capital among workers.
