SANCHEZ DOMINGUEZ, Israel y ACEVEDO CONTLA, Pedro. Diseño y modelación de un transductor tipo arreglo en versión MEM para aplicaciones médicas. Superf. vacío [online]. 2010, vol.23, n.1, pp.23-27. ISSN 1665-3521.
The miniaturization of Micro-Mechanics Systems or MEMS is a reality now days. In modern medicine, it is possible to find a wide spectrum of options for study and diagnostic through detection and measurement. In the medical area, specifically in the field of ultrasound, there has been a considerable technological development during the last years, thanks to the development of electronics, computing sciences and mainly to transducer technology. The present work describes the design of a transducer array based on MEMS technology, the simulation was made using the finite element method, this method allows to observe the array response, both in its frequency response and in its performance. The corresponding device is under construction; however, a model with larger dimensions was constructed in order to obtain measurements to have useful information about the performance of the simulated array. "In-vivo" tests will be carried forward, once the MEMS device with real dimensions is fabricated.
