MARIN AVILA, Esteban. Husserl and Villoro: Reflections on Common Goods, Wisdom, Science, and the Meaning of Philosophy for Life. Diánoia [online]. 2019, vol.64, n.82, pp.131-151.  Epub 12-Maio-2020. ISSN 0185-2450.  https://doi.org/10.22201/iifs.18704913e.2019.82.1638.

This article approaches central aspects of Luis Villoro’s thought that are a consequence of his critical relation to Edmund Husserl’s transcendental phenomenology. These include his inquiries into the meaning of philosophical reflection in the social and vital contexts in which it is developed and the task of philosophy itself, the topics that it cannot avoid addressing and the kind of knowledge it should strive for. In the final part I suggest that the perspectives opened with the comparative study of these two thinkers are important to reclaim the critical task of philosophy in relation to the reality in which it is furthered.

Palavras-chave : transcendental phenomenology; Mexican thought; axiology; practical rationality; ethics.
