TAGUENCA BELMONTE, Juan Antonio. Ciencias políticas y administración pública: una carrera universitaria dual para el mercado laboral. Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2008, vol.37, n.146, pp.85-93. ISSN 0185-2760.
In México, since 1959, there is a career that binds two disciplines of knowledge that are designed to study the public sphere. Political Science and Public Administration are different in terms of theories, methods, techniques and purposes; still, they have remained together as one degree. The answer to this problem meets with the labor market which needs graduates of common training that enables and understanding attitude between politics and public administration. These allied forces are an answer to the strong demands of work in the public sector that tends increasingly to two main areas, that is, knowledge and practical skills. The university should be aware of that, as it too should be also linked to the labor market as to make them understand that losing interest on the non specialized for the specialized is not the answer.
