SANTANDER DUENAS, Clara Inés  e  ROJAS BETANCUR, Héctor Mauricio. Family support and loss of autonomy for young university students. Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2020, vol.49, n.195, pp.21-34.  Epub 09-Mar-2021. ISSN 0185-2760.  https://doi.org/10.36857/resu.2020.195.1249.

The central purpose of this study is to account for trends in autonomy and emancipation of career students and their individual perspectives on family and future expectations as young adults. A correlational cross-sectional investigation was carried out, with a simple random sample of 342 participants, from the application of a structured instrument at a public university in the Colombian northeast. It highlights the existence of a high family, economic and affective dependence, which decreases the young person's chances of autonomy and creates a negative perception about the possibilities of emancipation.
