PICAZO Y MUNTANER, Antoni. The Chuetas: Dying Under the Law of Moses. The Case of Pedro Onofre Cortés. Relac. Estud. hist. soc. [online]. 2018, vol.39, n.154, pp.173-191. ISSN 2448-7554.  https://doi.org/10.24901/rehs.v39i154.240.

In the late 17th century, the kingdom of Mallorca was the scene of two compelling acts of faith against a religious minority: the Chuetas, who were descendants of converted Jews. The process carried out against a Chueta named Pedro Onofre Cortes sheds light on, and allows us to understand, how that group experienced a series of large-scale processes in which their faith was the central focus.

Palavras-chave : Chuetas; converts; Jews; Mallorca; Inquisition.
