MAURO, Diego A.. The Virgin of Guadalupe in Argentina Mobilization and Politics in Catholicism Santa Fe, 1920-1928. Secuencia [online]. 2009, n.75, pp.43-65. ISSN 2395-8464.  https://doi.org/10.18234/secuencia.v0i75.1088.

This study reconstructs the pilgrimages to the Basilisk of the Virgin of Guadalupe in the diocese of Santa Fe, Argentina, during the 1920s. Although the article covers a specific period, the paper goes back to the early decades of the 20'h century when the reasons behind the processes studied in greater depth developed. The article explores the dynamics of street occupation in both organizational and phenomenological terms and attempts to determine some of the connections established between religion and politics.

Palavras-chave : Mobilization; mass Catholicism; religion and politics; collective identifications.
