The following text aims to reflect about the leading position of the intellectuality. For this, we will use the theoretical framework of french intellectual history, agreeing in some aspects with German theorists. The object for discussion will be the movement occurred in 2010 self-nominated 31 by 15. The purpose of the movement, led by intellectuals, was awareness/name change of 31 de Março (March 31) neighborhood in Ponta Grossa-pr, for being a self-homage to the dictatorial regime installed in Brazil in 1964, to 15 de Março (March 15), date of the redemocratization of the country. The reflection result points out that there is a distance between intellectuals and the general population, hampering a dialogical construction of solutions and identification training.
