RAMIREZ-DAVILA, José Francisco; SANCHEZ-PALE, Jesús Ricardo; FIGUEROA FIGUEROA, Dulce Karen  e  DE LEON, Carlos. Long-term spatial association of Sporisorium reilianum ¡n maize. Rev. Mex. Mic [online]. 2014, vol.40, pp.37-45. ISSN 0187-3180.

Corn head smut has caused important economic and ecological damages in corn-producing regions in México. The stability and the spatiotemporal distribution of the disease are necessary for the elaboration of integrated management programs through a specific point. The objective of the existingstudy was to determine corn head smut spatiotemporal stability through the Im index SADIE and through the Cramer- von Mises test; and in the same way to characterize its spatial distribution through geostatistics techniques. The incidence of the disease was determined in 100 georeferenced plots in the localities of "La Mesa" and "Tutuapan" in "Ixtapan del Oro" municipality, México State. Aggregated maps were done by Kriging. The spatiotemporal stability was determined in long term with the association Index (Im) and the Cramer- von Mises test. The results showed that the lm índex SADIE and the Cramer- von Mises test allowed determining the spatiotemporal stability of the disease in the years from 2006 to 2008. S. reilianum spatial patterns were obtained in the four analyzed years, visualizing its aggregation centers with elaborated maps; which will allow to adequate management actions on specific points or sites.
