GALINDO-REYES, Manuel A. et al. Concentration and Accumulation of N, P and K in Red Raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.) Cultivated for Two Harvests per Year. Terra Latinoam [online]. 2011, vol.29, n.2, pp.143-151. ISSN 2395-8030.

Seasonal changes of plant nutrients indicate the grade of absorption, utilization, and internal redistribution. The nutrient extraction permits to plan the fertilization of soil by restoration. In this research it was studied the organ concentration and accumulation dynamics of N, P and K in the primocane fruiting of raspberry cv. Malling Autum Bliss grown under a polyethylene cover without calefaction, in a temperate climate, and managed to produce two harvests per year. The production system was established with one year-old plants transplanted to a substrate composed of soil and red sand (3:1, v/v), where the organ concentration and total accumulation of N, P and K were monitored trough out the whole year. The leaf was the organ that showed the highest concentrations of N, P and K. However, the root showed the highest accumulation capacity of N, P and K, with 52, 53 and 37% of the total amounts extracted by the plant, and also showed the highest seasonal variation in N concentration across the year, thus pointing out the root as the main storage organ for N in raspberry. The vegetative organs of the plant (leaves, stem, crown and root) extracted 127, 30 and 50 kg ha-1 of N, P and K, respectively.
