This article discuss the concept of identity relating it to a various aspects of social life-which has been nominated by diverse authors as post modernity, hypermodernity or simply modernity. We behold here a non insightful position about this debate, but witness some forms throughout which a concept such as diversity helps us understand more how nowadays identities are utterly diverse in their foundation. We take here the contemporaneous phenomena known as "Emo" -a modern teenage group, also called urban tribe- as an example that assemblies many of the subjacent meanings in its ethic and esthetic spheres.
