In recent years, a series of studies have analyzed the relevance that heterogeneousness has in the accumulation of technological capabilities among enterprises in developing countries. However, working conditions that include actions intended to lead to permanent learning aimed at increasing productivity -as a complement of technological capabilities- have not received enough attention. The results achieved by this study show that the social capital category, understood as the staff capability of the organization to collaborate and share learning and information -focused on the working conditions that favour learning-, is a most important factor when explaining labour productivity.
