The entrance of Spain into the Common Market In 1986, after long and laborious negotiations, represents an important qualitative impulse for the country in all aspects of life: society, economy and politics. Great efforts have been done to adapt the country to Maastricht's demands. These efforts, together with Important economic aid received as a result of cohesion, have modernized Spain's structures and are leading the country to a promising future. Overcoming the test of a Single Currency and adapting the Euro as the official one have been great challenges, successfully achieved. This accomplishment certainly compensates for all the efforts.
