CASTRO, Hortensia  e  ZUSMAN, Perla. Nature and culture: dualism or hibridization? An exploration through the geographical studies of risk and landscape. Invest. Geog [online]. 2009, n.70, pp.135-153. ISSN 2448-7279.

The relation between nature and culture has been politically and epistemologically discussed among different scientific fields during the last two decades. Geography has not escaped this tendency. Within this frame, first we present some of the ways the western thought has dealt with this relationship and, second we focus our attention on the influence of these positions in the conceptualization of risks and landscape in Geography. Finally, we discuss some political implications of these approaches.

Palavras-chave : Nature; culture; landscape; risk; geography.
