GONZALEZ GIL, Adriana. Enforced Disappearance, Collective Action and Emerging Actors: The Case of La Escombrera, Comuna 13 Medellín, Colombia. Hist. graf [online]. 2019, n.52, pp.15-56. ISSN 1405-0927.

Within the framework of the relation between collective action and violence, the question arises concerning the emergence of social actors who, in their search for recognition and reparation, deploy controversial actions despite the conflicting context in which they remain immersed. To analyze this convergence and the interpretative challenges of the particularities of such contexts, and, without renouncing the pretense of advancing in the construction of more general explanatory referents, the article emphasizes the organizational process of women affected by the forced disappearance of their relatives in the case of La Escombrera, turned into an intervention site after a decade of claims without a positive response. The actions developed by the organization Mujeres Caminando por la Verdad (Women Walking for Truth) constitute a significant trend of organizational processes within the framework of violence that are worth examining.
