The present article has as an objective to offer a panorama of the programs in training and employment aimed at youths: how they have been evaluated and what the evaluations worked for. The technical and critical aspects were observed, which are considered key and essential to understand the importance the evaluation process of the impact of these programs has. The Analysis was carried out on a non-random sample of programs of training and employment for youth, which were executed in the 1990-2004 period in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay.
