In the State of Mexico, between 2000 and 2010, there are some differences in the characteristics of labor force participation of men and women: changes in the economic sector, in employment and in the region. Given that the overall rate of employment in the State of Mexico showed its best during 2000 (96.7), and 2002 (97.3), and lowest at the end of the period (2009: 92.6 and 2010: 93.2 ENOE, 2009 and 2010), we want to analyze how they differentially involved men and women, and how does such participation in relations between: income, occupation, industry, age, marital status and employment course from a gender perspective. We are also interested to see how these changes behave in different regions of the State (16 regions, according to the regionalization of the state government), considering that some of these (58 municipalities in five regions) are conurbation with the Federal District. Occupational Consolidation neighboring municipalities and conurbations, referring to the two census years considered we provide some peculiarities in local labor markets, it is worth identifying and analyzing.
