Return migration is a phenomenon that has existed as part of the circular migration. The return migration evolution has been influenced by several factors, both social, political and economic environment. However, few studies has been dedicated to observing and analyzing return behavior, although it is acknowledged that the return has recently become an interesting topic for the academic and political scope. Also, the progress about the theoretical and empirical discussion that allows to answer why returning migrants, not has been enough. The main concerns have been taken in recent years due to the economic crisis in the United States and the recent immigration laws. There are different perspectives from which it can analyze the migration phenomenon, for example: the return causes, the ways in which returning migrants (air or ground) and socio demographic characteristics of the migrants of return, among others. This article analyzing the main reasons why migrants return to Mexico.
