Incestuous relationships are sexual practices between hetero or homo sexually oriented blood relatives. These practices are often experienced and categorized as punishable, abhorrent and despicable by most of the literature on the subject. However, one of the hypotheses of this paper is that it is also possible to find narratives that depict incestuous relationships in a different light, when these are not forced and take place among consenting adults. This article analyzes some concrete incestuous relationships, collected across urban and rural areas in Argentina, during 2005 and 2007, with the purpose of describing the different meanings attributed to those experiences, the types of kinship, or the lifestyles and sexual orientations of the participants.
