The use of personal documents in social sciences and in history in particular is a means for the research concerned with knowing the social subjects' point of view. The search for these sources is not always easy; therefore, this paper intends to reconsider a procedure for the production of testimonial sources by announcing testimony contests. The proposed method is based on the experience and approach of oral history, both in Mexico as well as in other places. Its contributions and some problems are mentioned for the use of these testimonial sources.
