In this article we emphasize the relevance of the Critique of Pure Reason for modern thought and proposes an unorthodox reading of this work that, apart from the ortodox reading that centers itself primarily on the theoretical problems relative to knowledge, priviliges the rol of morality as a determinant element. It also emphasizes how since the first Critique kantian philosophy has been characterized as a practical philosophy in the age of natural sciences.
