The purpose of this article is to analyze the general panorama of environmental issues and the search for ethical and responsible alternatives in different areas and through the different actors involved, such as the government, the business sector and civil society as consumers. It considers the circular economy as an option to mitigate environmental damage and achieve the objectives of the 2030 agenda.

The study is conducted through a broad and extensive literature review, with an analytical approach. It includes examples or highlighted cases according to each research topic or addressed in the article.

The results reflect the existing initiatives to contribute to the care of the environment, the cases considered as successful, but also those considered as unethical that have been developed mainly around companies.
