The movement of indigenous persons with disabilities has chosen at the international level an intersectional strategy aiming at bridging discourses between the indigenous movement, the persons with disabilities movement and the women’ movement has been put forward at the international level. This article analyses the effectiveness of this strategy for reducing structural inequality at the international, national and local levels. Trough interviews with indigenous activists with disabilities and international stakeholders this paper builds up a case study on the Indigenous Persons with disabilities Global Network. Findings show that the intersectional strategy for reducing inequality has been more useful at the international level, rather than at the national and community level.
