With the issuance of Law No. 1328 on July 15, 2009, new possibilities opened for Colombian consumer with regard to insurance in other countries. The information right is a very im-portant element to let the policyholders know the different risks they assume when they buy insurance abroad. This document presents these new possibilities of hiring and the pecu-liarities the policyholder needs to know in order to reduce his risk and to satisfy his contractual necessity.
