ALEMAN, Lien Soto e TORRES, Jennifer Batista. The Social Responsibility of the State Enterprise in the full Exercise of the workers’ Rights of the State-own Firms in Cuba. Rev. IUS [online]. 2020, vol.14, n.45, pp.55-79. Epub 16-Set-2020. ISSN 1870-2147.
The process of economic reforms undertaken in Cuba in recent years is a key epicenter in the State-run Firms. The political documents declare that the Socialist State Enterprise is the fundamental link in the economy, and is complemented in its management with the rest of the economic subjects/agents. Around all this, workers are the essential links, essential human resources to carry out this process. This paper intends to approach the labor perspective of the company’s social responsibility of the Cuban state own Firms, and the impact that it has on the full exercise of the workers’ rights who are recognized by the Cuban legal system. In this way, it will be demonstrated how the company’s social responsibility can become a tool at the service of workers in pursuit of the construction of the prosperous and sustainable socialist sociality to which Cuba aspires today.
