This paper addresses the phenomenon of students’ integration to the Universidad Veracruzana through the follow-up of their practices during the first year of studies. With a predominantly quantitative approach, some dimensions are explored to account for which experiences are integrating and which agencies are present in that purpose during the period indicated. The results show that the UV is a space where various social agencies intervene, some formal while others are unknown despite their influence on the integration of students. At least four orientations are identified that are combined in different ways according to the disciplines in which these universitary actors are located.
