The Buchon figure comes to be in a moment of unemployment crisis, of insecurity, of a fragile state wrapped up by mediation, frivolous spectacle or soap opera responses, a commitment to the ephemeral and the lack of a life project for these young people. It seduces young people, who want to be a Buchon as an alternative to the nonexistent life proposal of the State: This is an approach to the model of a narcoculture. Based on this parallel process of social construction, Buchon and narcoculture are exposed synthetically, mechanisms that transform the social and cultural practices of the people of a region. These cultural practices are integrated and become daily practices in the city of Mazatlan.
