Throughout this article, we explain the nature of the Mixtec kingdoms from the point of view of the territory, so we conducted a methodology that integrates information from geographical, historical and archaeological nature to identify how was related Tilantongo with other settlements. On the other hand, we sought to determine how and in what way the territory of this important lordly state was reshaping after the Spanish conquest, and the implementation of new institutions along the XVI century.
