MIRANDA ARRIETA, Eduardo. From the insurgent power to the subordinate of the army the trree guarantees. The indian Pedro Asencio Alquisiras 1818-1821. Tzintzun. Rev. estud. históricos [online]. 2018, n.67, pp.133-163.  Epub 17-Mar-2020. ISSN 2007-963X.

The article is about an insurgent of indigenous origin who played an important role in the final years of war for Mexican independence. Moving away from the encomiastic vision scholars characterize him in, one can rediscover his actions in order to understand how he came to power and how he exercised his power among the people in the region. We also seek to understand what made him notoriously known. Coercive practices, such as persuasion are part of the explanation, but war practices and tactics also played a major role. It is about understanding how the environment or setting helped bring success. This success could not have been possible in a different one and this is evident when he joined the Trigarante Army where he was required to act through prudential policies and moderation.
