Purpose and Method of study: The following article corresponds to a research report whose purpose was to observe the behavior of the variables -structural phases or components- that conform the Cantú Hinojosa Model of Conceptualization of Architectural Design (2004), and to determine in what degree they are present on the cognitive process for the development of design proposals made by those who are considered the best Architecture and Industrial Design students participating on the annual academic events of the ENEA and CONEDI. It is identified as an empiric, cuantitative, descriptive, explanatory, correlational and longitudinal investigation (3 years), since it was carried out during the aforementioned academic events from year 2004 to 2006. An instrument made especifically for this investigation was used, a particular version for each of the disciplines, which has a measured reliability observed by internal consistency as an alpha coeficient with an .8940 average. This research was funded by the CONACYT during 2007-2008.
