VAZQUEZ TOURINO, Daniel. Más pequeños que el Guggenheim, by Alejandro Ricaño: who are we laughing at when we laugh at the neoliberal pelado?. Valenciana [online]. 2022, vol.15, n.30, pp.353-370. Epub 29-Set-2022. ISSN 2007-2538. https://doi.org/10.15174/rv.v15i30.657.
The article proposes that the theater of the generation of Mexican playwrights who premiere their plays since the 90s of the 20th century is distinguished by a type of protagonist that connects with the classic figure of the “pelado”. Through the analysis of the play Más pequeños que el Guggenheim, by Alejandro Ricaño, we study the way in which these insignificant beings provoke the audience’s laughter, as well as the implications of this laughter.
