RUIZ-SOBERANES, José Antonio  e  GOMEZ-ALVAREZ, Graciela. Estudio mastofaunístico del Parque Nacional Malinche, Tlaxcala, México. Therya [online]. 2010, vol.1, n.2, pp.97-110. ISSN 2007-3364.  https://doi.org/10.12933/therya-10-15.

An inventory of wild mammals that inhabit the Malinche National Park was done through captures and records of traces. The distribution for each species along the Malinche Volcano was determined within four vegetation types: crops (15 species), pine forest (27 species), pine-alder-fir forest (19 species), and mountain grassland (four species). During 2007 and 2008, a total of 27 species from 22 genera, 14 families and 7 orders were recorded, including 5 endemic species to Mexico (Sylvilagus cunicularius, Peromyscus difficilis, P. melanotis, Neotomodon alstoni, and Sorex oreopolus). Mammals from the Malinche Volcano represent 40.3% of the total mammal species for the state of Tlaxcala.

Palavras-chave : Inventory; Malinche National Park; Tlaxcala; Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt; wild mammals.
