With the purpose of establishing if coping and conflict have to do with depression, 405 participants responded voluntarily the multisituational multidimensional scale of coping (Góngora, 1996), the one of conflict (Rivera, Cruz, Arnaldo, & Díaz-Loving, 2004) and the BDI-II (Beck, Steer & Brown, 2006). Result of a multiple regression step by step, depression is predicted by life strategies emotional-negative [β = .405**], couple direct-revalorative [β = -.258**], couple emotional-negative [β = .159**] evasive couple [β = .102*]. A second regression step by step, predicts depression by conflicts of personality [β = .425**], mistrust [β = .192**], jealousy [β = -.198**], religion [β = -.120*], sexuality [β = .129*].
