EIDMAN, Leandro  e  IGLESIA, Guadalupe de la. Positive Personality Model: Differences between Clinic and General Populations. Acta de investigación psicol [online]. 2021, vol.11, n.3, pp.48-64.  Epub 14-Mar-2022. ISSN 2007-4719.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fpsi.20074719e.2021.3.392.

The aim of this paper was to study the factor structure of a positive personality trait model in a clinical population sample, analyze differences in positive traits compared to a general population sample, and study the associations between positive traits and psychological symptomatology in a clinical population sample. The clinical sample consisted of 185 subjects living in Argentina whose mean age was 30.19 years (SD = 11.59, 59.5% female, 40.5% male). The general population sample consisted of 203 subjects from Argentina whose mean age was 31.63 years (SD = 10.22, 64.5% female, 35.5% male). The results of the psychometric studies for the positive trait measure indicated the good performance of the measure in the population. It was found that participants from clinical populations had lower presence of positive personality traits compared to individuals from the general population and that positive personality traits were negatively associated with the presence of most psychopathological symptoms.
