VALENZUELA, Blanca Aurelia; GUILLEN-LUGIGO, Manuela; CAMPA ALVAREZ, Reyna de los Ángeles  e  SANCHEZ ROMERO, Cristina. Inclusive Model Using ICTs to Serve University Students from Ethnic Minorities. The inclusion of indigenous students represents a challenge for their staying at school in the higher education level. The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is a means that facilitates such a process with ubiquitous learning. This study was aimed at describing the inclusion and use of ICTs by university students from ethnic groups in Sonora, Mexico. A descriptive-correlational quantitative study was conducted with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The Inclusion Index questionnaire and the questionnaire of mobile devices in education: ubiquitous learning were administered to 84 university indigenous students. For the data analysis, the statistical program SPSS version 21 and EQS 6.1 were used to test a structural model. The results indicate that smartphones and laptops are more frequently used for academic and social purposes. The inclusion process requires designing classes that address the educational needs and the use of ICTs by teachers, as well as the promotion of an inclusive culture. The structural model explains 32% of educational inclusion. The model’s implementation and the assessment of its impact on the academic-social achievement of indigenous students are proposed as ending conclusions.
