This study analyzed documents related to research on Learning Strategies in the university context through the conceptual mapping model and the socioformative approach. Learning Strategies are increasingly used in higher education and their implementation and application shape societal knowledge. Focus on this concept can inform methodological proposals aimed at modifying educational schemes, specifically as they relate to learning strategies applied to psychological faculty in Mexican public universities. The results of the systematic review suggest that learning strategies have been transformed in the previous few years. Beyond cognitive abilities, newly incorporated factors such as aptitudes and learning styles (that incorporate TIC’s), student ability to implement them, and learning motivation represent additional intrinsic factors.
