When we ask ourselves about the conditions of the application of binary schemes, it is necessary to consider three different levels. On one hand, that of the semantic principles which constitute meaning considered by itself, from which instruments of semantic description can be derived. On the other hand, that of binary oppositions constructed for theoretical and conceptualization purposes. And finally, that of the notions or realities more or less binary that take place in daily life. Though it is true that relationships among these levels can be established, each of them has their own specificities, requirements and potentials.
