Different theories in the study of social movements. An approach based on the analysis of its main components. The aim of this paper is to characterize the latest trends in the study of conflict and social movements which are centered on a methodological individualistic framework, and to carry out a comparison and a critical analysis using dialectic approaches which are based on social contradiction and differences between social classes.
