Critical remarks about identities. In this text some critical remarks about the trends and approaches which have studied identities are briefly presented. The different levels of analysis and the main authors who have subscribed to the discussion in the construction of identities are presented. Some of the aspects that are considered as central are applied in the study of an example: the identity of the groups that participate in a social movement.
