ALVARADO-MENDEZ, María Concepción e DELGADILLO-MACIAS, Javier. Productive prototypes of the rural family denim workshops, in the west of the state of Tlaxcala, Mexico. Estud. soc. Rev. aliment. contemp. desarro. reg. [online]. 2020, vol.30, n.56, e201011. Epub 06-Dez-2021. ISSN 2395-9169. https://doi.org/10.24836/es.v30i56.1011.
Objetive:
To analyze the organizational characteristics and mechanisms of operation of family workshops of denim production in the town of San Mateo Ayecac (Tlaxcala).
Methodology:
Was based on a territorial diagnosis of the family production units. One hundred and twenty questionnaires, randomly selected, were applied and semi-structured interviews were conducted with key informants from the spring of 2018 to the summer of 2019.
Results:
Show three productive models differentiated by the type of management that each one of them carries out; they also demonstrate the existence of a combination of multifunctional and specialized work that supports three productive models.
Limitations:
Was the lack of knowledge about the total number of workshops in a formal way. This is largely due to the informal entrepreneurial process developed in the locality and the distrust of informants.
Conclusions:
Point out that the productive prototypes studied are framed in global production networks that support local self-management processes of entrepreneurship contributed by technical and technological management and as an endogenous learning process of the labour force.
