The main objective of this research is to identify the regulation of Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) in Colombian law, focusing on virtual arbitration as a modality of ODR, since these are the alternative dispute resolution mechanisms that are currently the most innovative in terms of dispute resolution. In principle, we intend to address the basic notions of traditional arbitration, including its nature and the arbitration agreement that gives way to the process, continuing with the conceptualization and distinction of electronic means as important tools for the application of the ORD, then, we will deepen on these ORD in the Colombian and international legal system and in short, to be able to distinguish its difference with a traditional arbitration through a law compared to legislations such as Mexico, ending with the respective conclusions.
