This research article analyzes the regulatory framework of Argentina, Mexico and Colombia regarding the legal regulation of the dissemination of audiovisual production with sexual content of another person without their authorization, establishing a comparison between them and determining the efficiency of the existing criminal rules in the Colombian legislation on crimes derived from and related to Sexting. The methodology proposed was a comparative study. Therefore, the type of research is qualitative analytical, being carried out through data collection using various techniques such as documentary tracing, historical archives, bibliographic records, research papers, articles, among others, providing an interpretation of the data collected and drawing conclusions about the research data. Among the results of the research are the legislative developments in Argentina and Mexico on the subject of challenges of images of sexual content without authorization, which highlights the need for criminalization in Colombia on this issue.
