VIDAL-LIMON, Abraham; CONTRERAS, Oscar  e  AGUILA, Sergio A.. Materiales híbridos como alternativa nanotecnológica para la producción de energéticos. Mundo nano [online]. 2017, vol.10, n.19, pp.109-116.  Epub 21-Ago-2020. ISSN 2448-5691.  https://doi.org/10.22201/ceiich.24485691e.2017.19.62404.

The nanotechnology studies matter on a minute scale, fundamentally when a material has at least, one nanometric scale dimension. The area of nanosciences and nanotechnology has significantly increased in recent years due to the wide-spread applications of many nanometric scale materials (nanomaterials) in everyday life, likewise to the intensification of interdisciplinary research collaborations (physics, chemistry, biology, materials science, computer sciences, environmental sciences, communication technology and social sciences have been in continuous interaction since the end of the last century). Meanwhile, fossil fuel depletion has also been identified as a future challenge, it is necessary to develop new environmentfriendly alternatives with positively impacts in our society. The development of intelligent nanomaterials capable of generating energy (fuel cells, generation of gases or high energy carrying molecules) will allow us to step forwards through the imminent energetic global crisis. In this sense, in the following decades we will find nanomaterials more frequently in our daily activities, from energy based nanomaterials, to products such as paints, cosmetics, building materials and food.

Palavras-chave : Hidrogenase; nanobiotechnology; nanotechnology; hybrid nanomaterial.
