LASKE, Trilce. Jansenism and Rigorism in New Spain: A Proposal for Historiographic Renovation (1600-1700). Hist. mex. [online]. 2021, vol.71, n.2, pp.713-754.  Epub 18-Out-2021. ISSN 2448-6531.  https://doi.org/10.24201/hm.v71i2.4342.

This article seeks to demonstrate the presence of rigorism in New Spain from the mid-17th Century on, in line with the development of a new severity in other Catholic spaces, such as the Netherlands, France and Italy. It is based on little-studied primary sources, such as publications on moral theology. Its objective is to emphasize the theological diversity of New Spain during the late 17th Century.
