The aim of this paper is to analyze how the labor precariousness and the social security conditions and income level of workers are related to the level of poverty. For this purpose, a review was made of the study variables and an analysis of how the conditions of social security, the level of income of workers and the precariousness of work impact on poverty. Labor flexibility is exposed as a cause of the phenomenon of job insecurity and the situation of Mexico with respect to labor precariousness and poverty is described. Likewise, an econometric model of panel data is performed to analyze the interaction between the variables studied.
